The mountain of mountains is calling.
Zermatt lies at the end of a long valley in the Swiss
canton of Valais, at an altitude of 1‘620 m. There is
no through-traffic here and you will hardly see a
single motor vehicle. Instead there are electro taxis,
horse-drawn carts, sledges, bikes and pedestrians –
often with skis on their shoulders. Zermatt lies on
the sunny side of its 4‘478 m high neighbouring
moutain, the Matterhorn. So you will hardly
see a cloud in the sky for 300 days per year.
Metropolitan yet close to nature, filled with
hustle and bustle and yet quiet and with
both international flair and rustic charm,
the Alpine paradise has something for
everyone. And for the sporty in particular
the pistes of your dreams and ALMRAUSCH.
